| I'm...well me. My favorite color is the color of green grass in the spring, early in the morning when the light is hitting it, rays of sunlight bathing the blades in their glow, when the drops of dew are hanging off the edge, a color that no one ever notices. I love the way that shadows dance behind you, flickering and changing in the light, a faint imprint of who you really are. I can't stand silence, the way that it sits around, hanging empty in the air, the way that it feels like the world around you has suddenly stopped. I love New York City at night, when the lights fill up the whole city, the way everyone around you is busy, has somewhere to go, something to do. I love people watching, and I love writing. I hate the way lotion sits on your skin, right after you put it on, and its wet and sticky and it hasn't sunk in yet. Almost everything makes me smile, and I hate stupid people. I miss my life in Maine, when I used to sneak out of the house at midnight and walk a couple blocks to the lake, and I'd lay on the docks listening to the waves hit the wood, feeling the splinters crackling underneath me, and looking up at the stars, thinking that one day I'll dance among them. And I will, someday. And when I'm dancing among the stars, with my soul having taken flight and my wings spread wide? I'll Kiss The Sun. You Watch. |
